Where's Açaí Brasil from
Rosana Fernandes is a Brazilian chef that is bringing, in first hand, the famous AÇAÍ (AH-SIGH-EE) to Bahrain.
Born in Santarém (Pará), the land of açaí, Rosana has deep knowledge about the fruit and all the best recipes that can be made with it. In 2016, she was head chef of the Brazilian restaurant Bossa Nova, in Bahrain.
With healthy and delicious features, açaí is a purple berry that is 100% Brazilian. It's originated from the Amazon Rainforest, an ecorregion that is present in nine different states in Brazil, including Pará, where Rosana is from.
The name "açaí", comes from the indian language tupi, and means "fruit that cries", in in an allusion to the purple juice that comes from the fruit.
With this juice, brazilians have created the açaí bowl and blend, which can both be combined with different toppings, from other fruits and berries to granola and "ninho", a very typical brazilian dry milk.
